WHAT ARE THE DATES FOR EALING BOOK FESTIVAL 2025?

The dates for Ealing Book Festival 2025 are Thursday 24th April to Sunday 27th April 2025.

WHERE DOES THE FESTIVAL TAKE PLACE?

Festival events take place at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery near Ealing Broadway. Full details of the venue and how to get there are on the Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery website here.

HOW CAN I BUY TICKETS FOR THE FESTIVAL?

Tickets for the 2025 Ealing Book Festival are not yet on sale.

You will need to book tickets for each event you wish to attend. Once the 2025 Festival programme has been announced, tickets will be available on the Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery website here. To avoid disappointment, it is best to book events in advance, but there may be availability for some events during the Festival itself, in which case you will be able to purchase tickets at the Pitzhanger Box Office when you arrive.

ARE THERE EVENTS FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES?

The Festival programme includes a number of events for young people and families. Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult to all events and workshops .

CAN I GET A REFUND FOR MY TICKET?

Refunds will only be issued if the event itself is cancelled.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE ARE CHANGES TO TICKETED EVENTS?
Except in the case of cancellation, Ealing Book Festival operates a no return/refund policy. Event details are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to make changes to events if circumstances dictate. Any changes will be updated on the Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery website. In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond the control of Ealing Book Festival, the face value of the ticket will be refundable.

HOW LONG ARE THE EVENTS?

Most Festival events last for one hour and will be followed by book signings. Some events such as the local author showcase and walks last longer. Please check individual listings for non-standard event durations.

HOW DOES SEATING WORK?

Seating is not pre-allocated, and is available on a first come-first served basis. We do not overbook our events so seating will be available for everyone with a ticket. Our stewards will be available to help you.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE TO AN EVENT?

Every effort is made to ensure that events start on time. Doors open 15 minutes before the start time. Please have your tickets ready to be checked on the door. It may not be possible to admit latecomers to all events, however stewards will try to find a suitable break in the performance.

WILL THE FESTIVAL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE?
Our events are best enjoyed in person so unfortunately we do not live-stream them.

CAN I BUY BOOKS BY THE PARTICIPATING AUTHORS?
Yes, we actively encourage you to pick up copies of our authors’ books. Featured books will be available for purchase after each event.

AM I ALLOWED TO PHOTOGRAPH OR RECORD FESTIVAL EVENTS?
Photographs are permitted, however the recording of Festival events is prohibited. Please note that visitors to the Festival may be filmed and/or photographed for future promotional purposes and your consent to be filmed and/or photographed is assumed unless you advise Festival staff otherwise.

HOW ACCESSIBLE IS THE FESTIVAL?
Ealing Book Festival is committed to removing barriers for all and we have done our very best to ensure the Festival is as accessible as possible for everybody. All rooms are accessible for wheelchair users and we can arrange for the hard of hearing or lip readers to sit in an appropriate seat. If you plan to attend the Festival and have any additional needs which are not listed above, please contact info@ealingbookfestival.com. If you notify us in advance, our stewards will be expecting you – simply make yourself known to them on arrival and we will do all we can to make your visit as easy and stress free as possible.

AM I ABLE TO BRING INFANTS TO FESTIVAL EVENTS?

We strive to create an inclusive and enjoyable environment for all attendees and welcome families including infants. When deciding whether to bring infants to Festival events, we encourage parents and caregivers to consider the comfort and needs of their child and fellow attendees. We ask parents and caregivers to be mindful of their child’s behaviour and when necessary to promptly address the situation to minimise disruption to other attendees.

AM I ALLOWED TO BRING MY DOG TO FESTIVAL EVENTS?

Unfortunately due to the nature of the venue, dogs will not be permitted into Festival events.

HOW ARE WRITERS CHOSEN FOR THE FESTIVAL?
We aim to bring the greatest contemporary authors across all genres to our audiences. We are in contact with publishers, writers and a wide range of advisors to put together as engaging and diverse a programme as possible. DOES EALING BOOK FESTIVAL ENDORSE THE COMMENTS AND OPINIONS VOICED BY PARTICIPATING AUTHORS?

The views, thoughts, and opinions expressed by Ealing Book Festival speakers are solely those of the speakers, and do not necessarily reflect those of the Festival organisers, Festival suppliers, Festival sponsors or Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery. All speakers are invited in good faith as appropriate contributors for lawful free speech and for questioning by the public.

DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE ACCESS TO THE EXHIBITION THAT IS ON AT THE GALLERY?

Yes, event tickets include access to the exhibition when the event falls during normal Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery opening hours (available on the  Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery website here).
