Refunds will only be issued if the event itself is cancelled.
What happens if there are changes to ticketed events?
Except in the case of cancellation, Ealing Book Festival operates a no return/refund policy. Event details are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to make changes to events if circumstances dictate. Any changes will be updated on our website. In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond the control of Ealing Book Festival, the face value of the ticket will be refundable.
How long do Festival events last?
Most Festival events last for one hour and are followed by book signings. Some events such as the Local Authors' Showcase and guided walks last longer. Please check individual listings for non-standard event durations.
How is seating allocated?
Seating is not pre-allocated, and is available on a first come-first served basis. We do not overbook our events so seating will be available for everyone with a ticket. Our stewards will be available to help you.
What happens if I am late to an event?
Every effort is made to ensure that events start on time. Generally doors will open 30 minutes before the start time. Please have your tickets ready to be checked on the door. It may not be possible to admit latecomers to all events, however stewards will try to find a suitable break in the performance.
Are Festival events live-streamed or available to view online?
Our events are best enjoyed in person so unfortunately we do not live-stream them.
Can I buy books by participating authors?
Yes, we actively encourage you to pick up copies of our authors’ books. Featured books and some back catalogue titles will be available for purchase after each event.
Am I allowed to photograph or record Festival events?
Photographs are permitted, however the recording of Festival events is prohibited. Please note that visitors to the Festival may be filmed and/or photographed for future promotional purposes and your consent to be filmed and/or photographed is assumed unless you advise Festival staff otherwise. Filming, photography or recording of adults at risk, children or young people will only happen with consent from the individuals and/or their parents or guardians.
How accessible is the Festival?
We are committed to ensuring the Ealing Book Festival is welcoming and accessible to everyone. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact us at boxoffice@ealingbookfestival.com. By letting us know in advance, our stewards can be ready to support you - simply check in with them on arrival, and we will ensure your visit is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
